RPGamer and Xenogears

Hey what's going on guys? It's been a few days since I've posted anything here..whoops! I've been busy working on RPGamer stuff (actual journalism). I did training earlier in the week and have also written two news pieces for them. Very exciting! I've also done some gaming in there somehow...

So I recently beat God of War: Ghost of Sparta for the PSP. It was a pretty short game (~7 hours) but perfect for on the go gaming. I'm still deciding what review I want to do but it'll probably be GoW or possibly Persona 4. We shall see!

I also had the time to get back into an RPG: Xenogears. My friends that have played this game have done nothing but rave about it. I'm about 10.5 hours in and it's pretty good so far. There are so many unanswered questions! It makes for engaging gameplay though because you want to know what happens next.

I also have been DOMINATING (for me) on Madden 2011 online. I've won like...7 games in a row or something. No one can stop Tom Brady. Anyways thanks as always for reading. Follow the links below to check out my latest articles for RPGamer. Later  Gamers!

Zero Latest Marvel vs Capcom 3 Character

Among the latest characters announced for the upcoming title Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is Zero from the Mega Man X series. Fans have been clamoring for Mega Man to be in the latest sequel, but gamers should be plenty satisfied with Lightsaber-wielding Maverick Hunter.

Atlus Announces 50% off PSN Sale

Aram Jabbari, Atlus Manager of Public Relations and Sales, announced on his PlayStation blog that today Atlus will launch a 2 week sale on 11 titles currently available for download on the PSN. The reason for the sale? Jabbari says, "What if we can spoil our fans for the holidays by cutting something in half?"

A few of the titles that are included in the sale are: Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 Portable, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona (PSP Remake), Class of Heroes, and R-Type Command. Some games are going for as low as $4.99! Hurry because the sale ends November 29th. New Page and New Position

Hello Loyal Readers,
I have some extremely exciting news! First off I added a Reviews Page to make it quicker to find old reviews for those who want to read up on a game. Secondly I just received an email regarding a position at the brand new Blistered Thumbs website. They want to bring me on for a trial period for a possible permanent position!

Now this may or may not be paid but apparently THOUSANDS applied for these positions. To even have made it this far and to have the people at Channel Awesome like my work this much is a true honor and blessing. Praise be to God! I am extremely grateful, humbled, and shocked. It still hasn't quite hit me yet.

To be totally honest I'm not sure what I want to continue doing with this blog. I may revert it back to a personal gaming blog again. Either way a new review is definitely coming soon. Thanks again to those who read this. Very much appreciated. Have a great week everyone!

Update and New Position!

Hello loyal readers,

I have a few updates I wanted to share. I won't be posting anything today because I recently got a position  writing for RPGamer.com! I've been doing paperwork and training for them. Hopefully in the next week or so I'll be posting for them. I will continue to write here as well but today was a little busy and I started a little too late in the day.

I'm also considering doing this in video format to spice things up (not to mention monetize a little bit :P). Let me know what you think of that! Also look for a new review this week at some point as well. Possibly the new God of War: Ghost of Sparta or Batman: Arkham Asylum. Trying to break the mold and do something besides RPGs. Vaan the latest Dissia Duodecim character announced

Among the latest characters announced for the new Dissidia game is Final Fantasy XII's Vaan. He joins the cast along FF7's Tifa and FF13's Lightning. Of all the possible characters that could have been chosen Vaan does seem like a questionable addition.

Vaan ranks down there with the most hated characters such as Tidus. Basch would have been a more suitable choice, or hell even Caith Sith would have at least been fun to laugh at. One good things about adding Vaan though....gamers will have the chance to beat him to death!

CoD: Black Ops topples Modern Warfare 2

It's being reported by numerous sources that CoD: Black Ops smashed the launch sales of last years Modern Warfare 2. MW2 sold 4.7 million units at launch accumulating $310 Million in sales in North America and the UK. Black Ops has reportedly pulled in $360 Million on launch day selling 5.6 million copies of the game in North America and the UK. This makes Black Ops the best selling entertainment launch in history, video game or otherwise.

Black Ops comes loaded with content as this years Call of Duty game. It includes: An 8-10 hour campaign, robust online options, robust multi-player options, as well as a top down shooter mini game (which could probably sell for $10 on its own). All in all gamers continue to see CoD as worthy of the full $60 retail price. Black Ops is trending to become the best selling game of all time.
